Britney Spears- A Neverending Story?
When I searched the internet for a topic for a new blog entry, the name Britney Spears caught my eye. If you think about it: Has there been a day or a week in the last 2 month without news about Britney? Whether it�s a headline about her ex-husband or whether it deals with child custody�Britney�s life offers a wide range of topics.
Lately, we have been getting the impression that she even feels overstrained with taking care of herself and the question arises: How could she possibly take care of her children? Rumors arose a few years ago that she even dropped one of her children.
What do you think is true about all those stories? What physical and mental state is she really in and what do you think does her future look like, especially now that a court in the USA made Britney�s father her legal guardian for a certain period of time?

Today I had the feeling you don’t take that seriously. But why? Am I a weirdo or are you just prude? Hahah. Come on!
Still, I claim, this is not a heart. Not actually. Selling sex can be very entertaining, you know, still, desperating aswell (consumerism, borderline pornography…). I’d love to know your opinions. Do you know other weird examples? Can you make a sexist name out of yours, like Philipp becomes Phallus Lip? This is not a good one and I won’t use it, promised, but maybe you can do better than that?

i just don’t know what to do with myself…
if asked, i say that i do not have any time due to university and work, and i really mean it and do not lie. life is to be organised and structured and every day is planned. but… today? i just forget to learn for my oral exam tomorrow, i just ignore the task to read some texts for the following week, i avoid getting dressed properly, because leaving this house does not fit to my mood today. sunday. typical sunday.
however, i am bored. bored in a quality, that i even start writing this blog, knowing that only few (if anyone at all…) would read and less comment. but why? i mean, why are sundays so weird? what do you do on days like this one? what are you doing right now?
How do you welcome the new year?
Hi everyone!Again we are close to Christmas (I can’t believe how time goes by) and everyone is rushing through the city hoping to find the last Christmas presents for their family or friends.
A few days ago I realized that I haven’t thought about New Year’s yet because of the pre-Christmas stress. Then I started thinking where to celebrate New Year’s, with whom to welcome the new year with and how to get home that night.
In my circle of friends it turned out to be very difficult to find a plan which suits everyone this year. Now, a few days later, it resulted from this problem that we will have to celebrate separately which is very sad.
I’m interested in how you guys celebrate New Year’s. Do you go to a big city, like Berlin, and celebrate there or do you stay at home? What do you priorities look like concerning the decision who to party with and what were your experiences in the last few years?
Maybe you even have a hint for me where I could celebrate this year

throw away your television?
Last weeks presentation on casting shows in a way really knocked me down. Why do we watch such a programme? No, the others do! Of course academics like us would not descend to that point…
Or do we? I remember, in good company… WHAT a good time I had watching TV of that “kind”: housewife’s being exchanged, more or less famous and (indeed more!) unimportant characters from the media having a perfectly miserable dinner, shows in which one’s lousy life is supposed to be corrected by semi-professional pedagogues, amateur interior designers or shallow models… the list does not seem to find its ending. Welcome to woeful watch!
However, my thesis:
We love to see people on TV that seem to be inferior for the recovery of our own self.

Tuition Fees
Hi Guys! Sorry for posting so late. How about commenting on tuition fees, because this is what works me out right now.
Last week I was attending a lecture when suddenly a few students came in.
They wanted do a survey about tuition fees, what we think about it, if we consider them to be appropriate or not and about the quality of studies and the learning conditions in general.
When I first gave it a thought, I figured out that I have not encountered the slightest change yet.
One thing that really bugged me was, that students are not being involved in the decisions about how our money is spent. I don´t know what me money is spent on, do you?
We are told that we are the ones to benefit from those fees, but to be honest with you, I have not recognized any improvement concerning my personal situation.
Since we started paying for our education, the university became a service company, but it seems to me, that it has not been able to meet the according requirements yet.
Please comment on the adequacy and necessity of tuition fees and if you have already recognized any improvement, either individually or generally.

Sober Sunday?
Apparently a lot of students may have a kind of an 8-day week. They go to university in the daytime, at home – as if there was time to – they prepare following sessions; if they are lucky they have a chance to go to the supermarket before they start off again to go to work. The whole business is about earning a lot of credit points (thanks to the dreadful study conditions due to the oh so excellent Bachelor of Arts), some extra money and maybe a free sunday. If that is the case, one might prefer to enjoy this certain Saturday night. But how? Why not getting filled up with beer or other drugs to get the illusion everything is fine and easy. Or rather be modest and enjoy a whole Sunday soberly?
My major question is: For forgetting everyday life’s troubles, is professional drinking in the weekend a basics for alcoholism or a good solution to vary your life? Be honest and tell how you spend your weekends!
